Job Advertisement: Deputy Manager of Human Resources Site (Mining Sector)
OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager of Human Resources to join our mining operations team. This role is based at our minesite and operates on a rotational schedule of 14 days on-site followed by 14 days off. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and developing human resources strategies, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the mine.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted functionality.
- Act as a deputy to the HR Manager, stepping in as required.
- Identify and address the human resource needs of the mine, including recruitment, selection, training, and leadership development.
- Develop and monitor annual, quarterly, and monthly HR plans, budgets, and reports.
- Maintain and enhance employee records and HR information systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and labor relations at the mine.
- Review and update job descriptions in collaboration with departmental managers.
- Propose and develop performance-based incentive systems.
- Identify training needs and organize relevant training programs for employees.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry regulations.
- Prepare and present HR-related reports and updates to mine management.
- Optimize workforce organization and contribute to structural and staffing proposals.
- Ensure employees are provided with appropriate work attire and safety equipment in line with standards.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Financial Management, or Law.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in the mining or mineral resources sector is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR management systems and data analysis.
Day-to-Day
- Lead and manage HR operations at the mine site.
- Collaborate with department heads to address staffing and training needs.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor laws.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management.
- Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment.
