Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive PR and communication strategy to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement.
Act as the primary media liaison; manage media relations, prepare press releases, and organize press conferences and interviews.
Oversee internal communication efforts to promote a positive organizational culture and employee engagement.
Manage crisis communication and reputational risk, including response strategies and messaging.
Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, local communities, industry associations, and NGOs.
Coordinate content creation and distribution across platforms (website, social media, newsletters, annual reports).
Support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) communication efforts in collaboration with the sustainability team.
Monitor media coverage, public perception, and relevant policy developments, and provide insights to senior leadership.
Lead the organization of corporate events, public forums, and community outreach programs.
Manage communication budgets and supervise external PR agencies or consultants, if any.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or media relations, preferably in the mining, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
Strong knowledge of Mongolian media landscape, government institutions, and community relations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mongolian and English.
Proven crisis communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience managing digital communications and social media platforms.
High degree of cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse or rural environments.
Preferred Attributes:
Familiarity with ESG and sustainability reporting.
Prior experience in extractive industries or infrastructure sectors.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
