A major international mining contractor is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Mongolia.
Despite the title, this role goes far beyond traditional accounting. You’ll be deeply involved in management reporting, operational finance, tax coordination, forecasting, payroll oversight, and business analysis within a large-scale mining environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports for group reporting purposes
- Analyze project performance, cost movements, and operational variances
- Support budgeting, cash forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and external service providers
- Oversee payroll-related accounting and fixed asset tracking
- Monitor cash flow positions and support leadership with financial insights
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in mining, construction, or multinational operations
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, reporting, compliance, and management accounting
- Experience with ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, or similar platforms is an advantage
- Professional English communication skills required
