The Opportunity
A diversified business group is seeking an entrepreneurial, business-minded technology leader to lead the next stage of growth and transformation of its technology subsidiary. This is not a conventional IT management role — the ideal candidate connects technology, business, people, and execution, with a track record of building technology solutions, bringing them to market, and delivering measurable commercial results. The CEO will hold a dual mandate: strengthening the Group's enterprise IT capabilities while building commercially viable technology products for external B2B markets.
What You'll Do
- Own the company's strategy, business model, P&L, growth, and organizational performance
- Translate real business problems into commercially viable technology products
- Lead new products from idea through MVP, customer validation, and commercialization
- Lead major ERP and enterprise technology transformation, from business case through implementation and value realization
- Integrate enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data functions into a coherent technology roadmap
- Develop B2B sales, strategic partnerships, and new revenue streams, particularly in mining and industrial automation
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional technology, product, and commercial teams
- Work directly with Group leadership, providing clear recommendations and accountable execution
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience as CIO, Business Unit Head, Digital Business Head, or Product/Technology Business Director
- Proven track record building and commercializing technology products, from problem identification through revenue generation
- Direct experience managing revenue, profitability, budget, and P&L
- Successfully led at least one major ERP or enterprise digital transformation
- Experience integrating multiple IT functions and leading cross-functional teams
- Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working directly with Shareholders, Group CEOs, Boards, or C-level executives
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics), and technology commercialization
- Professional-level English proficiency
Nice to Have
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, or industrial technology
- Knowledge of industrial automation, IoT, SCADA, or OT/IT integration
- Experience in technology partnerships, SaaS/product businesses, or startups
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum/Agile, ITIL, TOGAF, or CISSP
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification
